What we are doing to fight racism

Racism at work or in healthcare

At Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, we want everyone, including staff and patients, to feel safe and included.

Here's what we're doing:

  • anti-racism at work: we give staff training, listen to feedback, and change unfair rules
  • inclusive language: we help staff use kind and respectful words when talking with everyone

What to do if someone is racist:

  • if you are a staff member or volunteer: tell your manager, the HR team, or someone you trust. You won't get in trouble for speaking up
  • if you are using our services: there are multiple ways to give us your feedback

True stories and good practice

We listen to real people's experiences to make our services better. Our Cultural Inclusion Network brings together staff and people from different communities to make changes that help everyone.
We are working with a group of stakeholders to address disparities in the application of the Mental Health Act.
