Website Accessibility Statement
This statement is about our website: https://www.covwarkpt.nhs.uk/
We are a Public Sector Body and answerable to The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). They are responsible for making sure that we comply with the latest law related to Public Sector websites.
It is important to us that the website is easy for everyone to use, regardless of disability. This means that you should be able to:
- use contrast buttons to view the website using soft or high colour contrasts
- zoom in up to 300% without problems
- navigate the website using only a keyboard
- navigate the website using speech recognition software
- translate each page into a different language
- listen to the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)
We use plain English to make our content clear and easy to understand.
Need help reading our website?
There is a Languages and Accessibility button, accessed on every page, in the top bar. If you struggle with reading, have a visual impairment, or prefer to read in your own language, these buttons will help you.
You can also get help by visiting My Computer My Way published by AbilityNet, where you will find a simple guide to using your computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone.
How accessible is this website?
Every effort has been made to ensure the Trust Website is accessible. Therefore, we try and ensure all content is written on accessible web pages, rather than using PDFs wherever possible. One exception to this is Trust board papers. The Trust holds Board meetings in public and shares its papers online. This is a statutory requirement. Board papers help the Board make decisions and provide assurance about how the Trust is run.
Due to the size and complexity of our Trust board papers, it is not possible to ensure our Trust board paper PDFs are fully accessible. After careful consideration, it has been assessed as a disproportionate burden make all our Board paper PDFs fully accessible. Therefore:
- Some PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
- Some PDF documents do not have heading row within the tags panel
- Some PDFs have issues with non-text content
If you require help accessing any inaccessible PDFs on this website, please contact email: communications@covwarkpt.nhs.uk
