Dr Sukhi Dhesi
Background and experience
Dr Sukhi Dhesi is a non-executive director at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and a practising GP with over 20 years' experience, based in Coventry and Warwickshire.
She brings extensive experience across primary care, commissioning and integrated care systems. Her previous roles include system leadership within the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board, where she chaired the Finance and Performance Committee, following earlier positions as a governing body member of both South Warwickshire and Coventry and Warwickshire clinical commissioning groups, and as a clinical director within a primary care network.
Sukhi is also a trustee of Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind, having previously served as a trustee for South Warwickshire and Worcestershire Mind. She is an experienced mentor and coach, with a strong interest in quality and safety, workforce wellbeing and reducing health inequalities. She is committed to supporting integrated working and advancing parity of esteem between mental and physical health, where both are prioritised equally.
She was born and brought up in Coventry and continues to live and work across Coventry and Warwickshire, with strong personal and professional ties to the communities the Trust serves.
