Make a difference to offender care across Coventry and Warwickshire

Come and join our growing Forensic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
Exciting investment at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT) allows us to expand our existing Forensic Community Mental Health Team. We're building a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of 27 skilled professionals to deliver outstanding mental health care to adults with forensic presentations. This ambitious, 2-year project is backed by significant funding and is focused on transforming mental health services, to support rehabilitation of offenders with mental health needs; a group that can struggle to access healthcare.
What we're working on:
- Setting up a dedicated clinic space within a local remand prison
- Improving the transition pathway from secure care to community services
- Embedding forensic specialists into each Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)
- Providing consultation and formulation support to staff and services
- Creating a co-production forum for collaborative service development
- Offering targeted risk reduction interventions in the community
- Delivering comprehensive forensic training for all CWPT staff
- Leading research on community forensic services to shape future care
Who we are looking for:
We're seeking passionate individuals with a background working with forensic service users and those with complex mental health needs. The roles will involve building care pathways and fostering strong working relationships with other teams and external agencies, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential. If you're experienced in forensic settings (such as prisons, secure hospitals, probation) and have a solid understanding of the relevant legislation, we'd love to hear from you.
What we offer:
- A supportive and enthusiastic work environment with a focus on growth
- Weekly team supervision to ensure ongoing professional development
- Generous opportunities for continued professional development, tailored to your interests and career goals
- Roles that match your skills and strengths, ensuring you thrive in your position
- A chance to be part of a transformative project that will shape the future of forensic mental health services
At CWPT, we're committed to nurturing a team of motivated and compassionate professionals who can make a real impact in the lives of those with complex mental health needs. We're recruiting to a wide range of roles including psychiatrists, psychologists, family therapists, social workers, registered professionals, housing workers, peer support workers and administrators.
If you're ready to take on this exciting challenge, we'd love to hear from you and discuss how you can contribute to this innovative project.
