In their own words – young people’s experiences of the Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHST)

In a new video, children and young people share their powerful experiences of accessing support through the Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (MHST).

The video demonstrates the impact early mental health support can have for children and young people, through the stories of Phoebe, Evie, Henry, Georgia and Joe, and parents Kat and Leanne.

Working across Coventry and Warwickshire, our MHST provides mental health interventions, advice, and liaison with specialist services to help children and young people get the right support.

The video was shown for the first time at the MHST Conference: Stronger Together, which brought together parents and professionals working in health, social care and education to improve young people's mental health and wellbeing.

Thank you to the young people, parents, and schools for taking part in this video.
