Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust appoints experienced learning disabilities nurse as its new Chief Nursing Officer
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust has announced the appointment of Jacky Vincent as its new Chief Nursing Officer, following a competitive recruitment process.
Jacky has been undertaking the role on an interim basis and will now take up the position substantively following Mary Mumvuri's recent appointment as Chief Executive.
Jacky joined the Trust on an interim basis in 2025 from her previous role as Director of Nursing for NHS England - East of England, and brings significant senior leadership experience across mental health and learning disability services. She previously served as Chief Nursing Officer at Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Trust.
A highly respected national leader, Jacky has played an influential role in shaping the future of the learning disability nursing workforce, working with national partners on recruitment and retention, as well as with the Foundation of Nursing Studies as a Learning Disability Nurse Advisor.
Jacky is widely recognised as a passionate advocate for patients and staff, and for her commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Mary Mumvuri, Chief Executive Officer, said:
Jacky is an exceptional leader and a passionate advocate for both patients and staff. At a time when the Royal College of Nursing has highlighted the challenges facing the learning disability nursing workforce, it is particularly significant to have one of two Chief Nursing Officers in NHS Provider Trusts nationally with a learning disability nursing background leading our organisation.
I hope Jacky's appointment inspires more people to consider a career in learning disability nursing and demonstrates the opportunities available to progress into senior leadership roles within the NHS. I am delighted to welcome her to the role substantively.
Jacky Vincent added:
I am proud to take on the role of Chief Nursing Officer at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust. I have already seen the dedication and compassion of colleagues across the organisation, and I look forward to working together to continue improving care for the communities we serve.
