Join Coventry and Warwickshire Mental Health in Schools Teams

Person working with young person in school, with text that reads 'join the mental health in schools team'

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people's mental health and wellbeing? Do you want to be part of the future of mental health support in schools?

We have some brand-new roles for the Coventry and Warwickshire Mental Health in Schools Teams (MHST).

MHSTs are an early intervention and prevention service that support the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people and families who are linked to schools and colleges settings. We are growing rapidly and are in a time of development and expansion as we are expected to support 100% of schools by 2029/30.

MHSTs offer three kinds of support:

  • Individual, 1:1 and small-group targeted interventions for young people with mild-to-moderate mental health needs.
  • Fostering and developing a whole-school approach to mental wellbeing in collaboration with key school staff.
  • Advice, consultation and signposting to schools and other professionals.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust have a vision for our MHSTs which includes exciting new opportunities for registered nurses with experience of working with young people and mental health difficulties and high-level teaching assistants / health support workers. If you have a passion to build positive relationships and have a curiosity to respond to the mental health needs of our children and young people in educational settings, these roles may be for you.

Want to find out more? Join our online MHST Q&A from 5 - 6pm on 11 or 13 August. Email  risecommunityoffer@covwarkpt.nhs.uk for your invite.

We'll also be discussing our upcoming roles for occupational therapists and CBT therapists. Join us to hear more about the roles and we'll send you the adverts when applications open.

Turn your passion into impact and join an amazingly supportive and forward-thinking service.
