Calling voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCSFE) partners - get involved in the Medicines Safety Improvement Programme (MedSIP)
The Medicines Safety Improvement Programme (MedSIP) is a national quality improvement programme delivered locally across Coventry and Warwickshire. Our focus is to support people with a learning disability to avoid harm from psychotropic medicines and improve their quality of life.
If you are passionate about improving care for people with learning disability, we are actively seeking voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) partners to:
- join engagement sessions and networks
- contribute insights and expertise to influence system change
- collaborate on projects and pilots to strengthen your organisation impact
Why this matters
- psychotropic medicines can cause serious side effects
- should not be used for behaviour without clear clinical need
- must be reviewed, reduced, and used safely
Our vision
We want to work alongside VCFSE partners to:
- reduce unnecessary medication
- strengthen non-medication support
- improve wellbeing and independence
- build wrap-around community care
