About us
The Mental Health Liaison Team is available in your local acute hospital (situated in the Coventry and Warwickshire area) 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week. We assess people aged 17 years* and over who are inpatients or have presented in the emergency department and are experiencing mental health symptoms and/or concerns.
The team will offer you a timely bio-psychosocial assessment of your presenting needs which will inform collaborative plans of care and intervention with safe and effective management to support your health and well-being.
The Mental Health Liaison Team can make direct referrals to other CWPT services or guide you to access voluntary or statutory agencies that may be better placed in managing your needs. We may also, with your consent, ask your family members or friends for their views. We will write to you and your GP detailing the assessment outcome and plan.
