Mary Mumvuri
The Chief Nurse is responsible for the professional leadership and standards of care for nursing and Allied Health Professionals, safety and quality governance. Mary joined the organisation in January 2022.
Background and experience
Mary is a registered Mental Health Nurse by background and has extensive knowledge and experience of leading mental health services. She has worked in senior nursing leadership and quality governance roles across several Trusts in London and East of England. She joined us from Kent and Medway NHS Social Care Partnership Trust, where she spent five and a half years as Executive Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals and Quality.
In addition to her Chief Nursing Officer role, Mary is seconded to the Care Quality Commission as their National Professional Advisor for Mental Health Nursing. She also holds the role of Vice Chair of the National Mental Health and Learning Disability Nurse Directors’ Forum.
Mary has a keen interest in improving quality of care as well as developing, enabling, and supporting staff to provide the best care possible. Her values of inclusivity, fairness, transparency, and equality have shaped her leadership approach.

RMN, MSc Mental Health Studies, MSc Health Management, Nye Bevan Executive Leadership Award.
