Eamonn Kelly
Eamonn was appointed as a Chair in March 2025. He has over 30 years of board level experience working in, or closely with, the NHS, and holds strong links across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Before joining CWPT as Chair, Eamonn held the position of non-executive director at the Coventry and Rugby GP Alliance. Previously to this, he has held several senior NHS roles, including Chief Executive of West Mercia PCTs, Director of Commissioning at NHS West Midlands Strategic Health Authority, and Chief Executive of Redditch and Bromsgrove and Wyre Forest Primary Care Trusts.
Eamonn has substantial experience working at a strategic level, leading on change and service reconfiguration, and has particular interest and expertise in organisational development. Working as a Chief Executive and Director of Commissioning within the NHS, he has provided strong, values-based, leadership, focusing on building effective relationships with stakeholders, clinical leaders, staff and patients.
Throughout his career in the NHS, Eamonn has championed the value of, and need for, patient empowerment and early intervention, advocating for those who use our services and supporting colleagues to continue to provide services that meet the needs of those who experience the greatest health inequalities in our society. Eamonn is keen to focus on putting our patient voice and experience at the centre of decision making and creating an environment where our staff feel safe, supported, and enabled to provide the best possible care.
