Valuing our people

Chief Nursing Officer, Mary Mumvuri, and David Tait, Chief Pharmacist on stage at awards ceremony

It is important to feel valued at work and to know that our contribution is recognised and our ideas are heard. There are many ways we show our appreciation to our staff members, and to each other. Simon

"As Chaplain for CWPT I feel that I belong. I feel a valued member of the Trust and respected for my role which includes supporting our colleagues."

 - Simon, Chaplain and Co-ordinator of Faith Services

We celebrate success

Values in Action

Values in Action give colleagues and service users the opportunity to nominate individuals who have gone above and beyond in demonstrating the behaviours that make up our values.

Employee of the Season Award

Teams are invited to nominate individuals in recognition of their outstanding work for our quarterly Employee of the Season Award. The winner is announced and a presentation made to the individual or team.

Long Service Awards

Our Long Service Awards recognise the incredible contribution of our colleagues completing 20, 30, 40, or 50 years’ service. All eligible staff are invited to a celebration evening to receive their Long Service Award voucher and certificate.

Time to Shine

Time to Shine is an annual event for colleagues and teams to come together and share the work and projects they’re most proud of. The event showcases staff stories, achievements, and good practice.

Q Awards

Every year we get together to celebrate the excellent work of individuals and teams at our annual Quality Awards.  Staff are asked to nominate teams and colleagues in advance, and winners are announced at our award ceremony.

We listen

We listen to our colleagues and inspire them to create and implement change. We do this through:

  • an annual NHS survey
  • our quarterly people pulse survey
  • our monthly Staff Improvement Network.
