Adult Neuro Liaison Team

Consultation and advice for professionals in adult services supporting autistic individuals (with or without a diagnosis)

Coventry and Warwickshire Neuro Liaison Team

We are pleased to announce that Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) offer professionals in adult services access to a Neuroliaison Team.

Who is the service for?

Consultations will be available for professionals in adult services only within CWPT Mental Health, Coventry and Warwickshire Local Authorities (social care), the Community Autism Support Service (CASS), and The Early Support Keyworker Team.

The team will not be offering consultations to professionals wanting to discuss people who are at risk of admission i.e. on the Dynamic Support Register (DSR) as Amber or Red, or those working in children and young people’s services.

The clinical team will be able to provide consultations, however they will not deliver 1:1 direct interventions or clinically hold cases.  The team expects to respond to consultation requests within 7 working days and is not a crisis response service.

How can the Neuro Liaison Team help me?

The aim of the Neuro Liaison Team is to i mprove the current experience of autistic individuals who are open to Social Services, the Community Autism Support Service and CWPT Adult Mental Health Services, as well as improving the confidence of those staff.

This can be achieved by providing advice, support and guidance through consultations to cross-organisational teams to assist them in delivering person centred health and social care interventions.

How do I request a consultation?

If you are a professional working with adults in CWPT Adult Mental Health Services, Coventry or Warwickshire Local Authority, or CASS, you should first complete a consultation request form to the Neuro Liaison Team.
