About us
Service overview
We work with individuals who are at risk of or experiencing the first onset of psychosis – possibly hearing voices, seeing things other people can’t perceive, feeling paranoid/threatened. These experiences may be associated with low mood, anxiety and a decrease in functioning. Referral is by GP via the single point of entry or via other mental health services.
We work with individuals and their carers for three years, delivering psychoeducation, carer support, family therapy, CBT, physical health assessments, support with vocational role, finances, monitoring of medication and mental health. An individuals’ care is managed by their care coordinator who will jointly plan care with the person to meet their needs.
We link with other mental health services (acute inpatients/crisis teams) and voluntary services to access the support needed for an individual to recover and move on positively with their life, independently of mental health services.
