The Coventry Novotel provided the perfect location for the event which was in its seventh year.

Delegates were treated to a variety of talks and presentations from Professor Swaran Singh, Associate Medical Director of Research and Innovation at the Trust, Mark Lomas, Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at HS2 Ltd and Nola Ishmael OBE, the first BME (Black and Minority Ethnic) nurse to be appointed a director of nursing in London.

Rano Bains, Head of Equality and Diversity at our Trust, said: “The day was very stimulating and thought-provoking. The number of people who attended the event shows just how important this subject is.”

“This is the seventh year that we have celebrated Equality, Diversity and Human Rights week. As well as the event, we also raised awareness within our Trust to highlight human rights, equality and diversity issues, which have an impact on us all to varying degrees.”
