Research Delivery

Our dedicated Clinical Studies Delivery Team supports all aspects of research delivery, from feasibility, identifying a Principal Investigator (PI) and set-up, to recruitment of participants on time and to target.

We work closely with all Clinical Research Networks to ensure rapid setup and delivery of studies.

Our Clinical Studies Officers and Research Nurses support studies in every clinical speciality in the Trust. Our Clinical Research Champions and Service User Research Champions ensure that studies are well publicised, to help recruitment.

The Research Senior Management Team monitor recruitment to all studies and ensure that these remain on target.

We have an excellent record of supporting commercial trials and welcome enquiries from industry partners.

Clinical Research is Everyone's Future (CRIEF)

Clinical Research is Everyone’s Future and the latest CRN initiative is aimed at engaging health and social care professionals in clinical research.

For most patients their day to day contact with the health and social care system is with colleagues not directly involved in research delivery.

This is where the research delivery workforce can help colleagues better understand how they can be advocates for clinical research participation.

More information is available on the NIHR website.
