Respect for everyone

RESPECT Respect for Everyone means celebrating and respecting difference, and the contributions of all. It means putting patients, service users and carers at the heart of the services we provide. It also means recognising and valuing all of our staff in the contributions they make to the delivery of high quality care.

Behaviours that represent Respect for Everyone:

  • We provide person-centred care and treat everyone with dignity and compassion at all times. We will see each person as unique and valuable. We respect the contribution everyone makes. We treat our staff as valuable assets and key to the quality of all our services; and we offer appropriate support and development to them all to ensure they have the required competencies.
  • We promote equality for all, breaking down barriers to equality and stigma where they are present.
  • We show pride in being part of the NHS family, and our contributions to the wellbeing of our communities with other health and social care partners.
