Trust appoints Chief Operating Officer
Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) has appointed Sonya Gardiner as the new Chief Operations Officer (COO). Sonya joined the Trust in April 2020 as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and has been acting as Interim Chief Operating Officer since January 2021.
Sonya is an experienced Chief Operating Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital and health care industry. With skills in operations excellence, service development, quality improvement, coaching and partnership-building, Sonya is a strong operational professional and leader.
Mel Coombes MBE, Chief Executive at CWPT said, “We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Sonya to the permanent position of Chief Operations Officer. Sonya has acted as Interim Chief Officer since January and prior to this as Deputy Chief Officer and has shown great leadership, excellent operational skills and I am pleased to be able to offer her the permanent position. Her experience over the past year will enable her to make a smooth transition into this senior management role.”
