The NHS will contact you - Latest update - COVID vaccination programme

Boost your immunity by having the flu and Covid-19 vaccinations to help stay safe with loved ones this Christmas. If it’s been six months since your 2nd Covid-19 vaccination, you are due your booster. To book an appointment for a vaccination visit www.nhs.uk or call 119. A list of all the places you can go for a walk-in appointment is available at www.happyhealthylives.uk/vaccinationdrop-ins. This website is updated daily with the latest sites and clinic opening hours.

Following a Government announcement on 29 November, the NHS is developing plans to extend the Covid-19 booster vaccination programme to include everyone aged 18 and over; and people will become eligible for their booster three months after their second dose (reduced from six months). We are working at extreme pace to respond to the new variant, Omicron, and to put in place the next and most complex phase of the successful Covid-19 vaccination programme. The vaccination programme is scoping capacity across the system to support the roll out of these additional vaccinations.

For now, people are asked to wait to be contacted by the NHS. The NHS will contact you when you become eligible for your booster. If you are eligible now, please do book as it is expected that demand will increase significantly when the newly eligible cohorts are able to book.
