The events were organised by the Child and Family Services directorate within the Trust who encouraged staff members across the organisation to help raise money for three charities including the Down’s Syndrome Association, Genesis Research Trust and the Coventry Snowball Trust.

Throughout the Charity Week, staff members participated in a number of fundraising activities and competed against each other in challenges. Events included the Coventry to Paris static bike challenge where staff completed a total of 415 miles, the House of Pain Sponsored Wax, The Bath of Beans Trial, a Retro Sports Day and much more.

Executive Director of Nursing and Quality, Tracey Wrench has also completed the Tour De Mont Blanc in aid of the charities and contributed to the overall total amount raised.

Tracey comments: “My husband Simon, my son Oliver and I completed the Tour de Mont Blanc challenge in 10 days in July, and we were really please to contribute to the fundraising total that the Children and Family Services Directorate achieved during that week.”

Jed Francique, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust’s Associate Director of Operations, said:

“A huge thank you to everyone who organised, participated in and supported events over the course of the week. It was great to see colleagues coming together to raise money for these fantastic causes.”

“The money that staff members have collectively raised will go directly to the three charities that are all doing great work to support children and families in their time of need.”
