Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is on the lookout for a new non-executive director to join our Trust.

The post needs to be filled during 2016, by an individual looking for a non-executive position. The Trust has a particular interest in recruiting people with recent clinical experience and local connections in Coventry, Warwickshire or Solihull.

Non-executive directors bring independence and additional skills to the senior team of all NHS Trusts, holding paid directors to account and helping lead the organisation.

Steps to strengthen the Trust Board are now under way as a result of a departure by a director earlier this year, and follow the appointment of Jagtar Singh OBE as Trust Chair in 2014.

As Chair of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust, Jagtar is responsible for leading the organisation with the Trust Board, working with executive and non-executive directors to ensure the Trust provides the highest quality services within the resources available.

Jagtar said: “The Trust remains in a strong position and continues to work towards becoming a Foundation Trust as soon as it can.

“I am delighted we have this opportunity to recruit a non-executive director, so the Trust Board can continue to take the right decisions about our business in the future.  We are looking for an ambitious and experienced professional with Board-level experience who has strong connections to this area.”

Non-executive appointments to NHS Trusts are made by the NHS Trust Development Authority (TDA), are part time roles requiring around two to three days a month, are subject to the Code of Practice of the Commissioner for Public Appointments, and are paid £6,157 per year.

For more information or to apply for this exciting new role, please visit the NHS TDA website at www.ntda.nhs.uk and select ‘Current Vacancies’ under the tab titled ‘Non-executive Appointments’ or the Cabinet Office Public Appointments website at http://publicappointments.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/nhs-appointments
Applications must be submitted before 29 January 2016 at 11.00am and other key dates are shown on the webpages.
