Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Week takes places between 16th and 20th May. To mark this week, a local NHS Trust is holding a special event in Coventry.

On Thursday 19 May, Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust will be hosting a public event at St Peter’s Centre, Charles Street, Coventry.

‘Celebrating Equality and Diversity Week’ is a whole day’s conference which will include presentations from local individuals and organisations on topics such as health inequalities, mental health and race equality.

Rano Bains, Head of Equality and Diversity at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust said: “This is the fifth year that we have celebrated Human Rights week.  As well as hosting the public event on 19 May, we will also be having display stands around our Trust to raise awareness of human rights and equality and diversity issues, which have an impact on us all to varying degrees.

“We welcome people from all walks of life to come along to our event and join us for what should be a very interesting and thought-provoking day.”
