Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust appoints new Chief Nursing Officer

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) has appointed Mary Mumvuri as the new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Mary brings expertise in mental health and learning disabilities nursing and is an experienced clinical and quality improvement leader.

Mary Mumvuri has held several senior positions including nursing leadership, clinical governance and quality improvement roles across both community and inpatient settings. Most recently, Mary has been at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust where she held the position of Executive Director of Nursing, Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and Quality, and is seconded part-time to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as National Professional Advisor for mental health nursing.

Mel Coombes MBE, Chief Executive at CWPT said, “We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Mary to the position of Chief Nursing Officer. Mary has an extensive knowledge of mental health services having worked in a number of mental health and learning disability provider Trusts, which makes her a perfect addition to the team.”

Coombes went on to say, “Mary has strong values of fairness, transparency and equality which shape her leadership style. She is passionate about ensuring the provision of the very best care possible through the development of staff capability.”

Mumvuri said “I am thrilled to be joining the Trust and look forward to working to improve patient outcomes and ensuring the provision of the highest quality of care for those in our community.”   

Mumvuri will join the organisation in early 2022.
