Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust appoints new Chief Medical Officer

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) welcomes Dr Richard Onyon to the position of Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Richard joined the Trust in 2007 in his first consultant post and brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is a psychiatrist and has held several senior clinical leadership positions, most recently as Deputy Medical Director of CWPT and the Regional Clinical Director for Mental Health for NHSE. He is passionate about improving patient experience and outcomes and has led the transformation of community mental health services in Coventry and Warwickshire, working alongside experts by experience and the voluntary and community sector. Richard completed the NHS Leadership Academy’s Clinical Executive Fast Track Scheme.

I look forward to continuing this and leading our medical colleagues to provide the best care for the people and communities we serve.”
