Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board ADHD commissioning decision

Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board has announced that for a temporary period starting 21 May, new referrals for ADHD diagnostic assessments made only for people aged 25 and under will be commissioned. You can read a full statement from the ICB here .

As a result, any new referrals via GPs to CWPT for ADHD assessments, for those aged over 25 years, will be paused temporarily. Individuals receiving services already will not be affected and those on current waiting lists will remain on these lists.

Given the national and local challenges in relation to ADHD assessments, resources, and current waiting lists, we welcome the opportunity to take stock and work together with staff, individuals who use our services and their families, commissioners, GPs, local authority colleagues and other stakeholders to create more sustainable services that are better able to meet the needs of people of all ages. We are urgently considering the implications of this ICB emergency policy for our services and will share further information in due course.
