Coronavirus vaccination update

Some eligible patients in Coventry and Warwickshire will receive a letter from the NHS inviting them to book an appointment for their Covid-19 vaccine at a large vaccination centre from this weekend.

Patients who receive this letter have the choice to book an appointment at Millennium Point in Birmingham. Millennium Point is one of the first large vaccination centres in the country to open and these large sites are to help speed up the national vaccination programme.

The letter is being sent to people who are aged 80 and over and who live within a 45 mile radius of the Birmingham centre.

Locally we already have 12 Local Vaccination Sites in place, with eight more coming into place during January.  If you cannot attend the Birmingham vaccination centre you will contacted by the local NHS to attend these local sites shortly.

This letter is just for the first dose of the vaccine.  If you have already had your first dose of the vaccine, you will be contacted again when it’s time for your second dose.  For more information on who is currently eligible for a vaccine click here
