Children, young people and families across Coventry and Warwickshire were invited to submit their designs to create the logo for Rise, the new emotional wellbeing and mental health service for children and young people.

By the closing date of the competition, over 40 designs were submitted.

Common themes and symbols from these designs, which included sun rises, arrows and ladders, were collected and worked up by a professional designer to create a variety of 8 designs.

These 8 designs were then put into an online poll and over 400 people voted to choose the final Rise logo. The winning logo had nearly 50% of the vote.

Jed Francique, Associate Director of Operations (Child & Family Services), said, ‘We are delighted with the response to both the competition itself and the amount of people who voted.  It gives us confidence that the logo is meaningful to children and young people who the service is aimed at”.

The key aims of Rise include:

  • Increase emphasis on prevention and early intervention
  • Be integrated in our working, especially with schools
  • Support the whole family - not just the child
  • Make getting help really easy -  our vision is ‘No door is the wrong door’
