Are you an undergraduate student looking to start your career with Rise, CWPT’s Children and Young People’s Specialist Mental Health Service?

If you are due to qualify in 2023 as a registered professional such as a children’s, learning disability or mental health nurse; occupational therapist or social worker, you are invited!

Join us online on Tuesday 18 April between 12.30pm – 2.30pm, to hear from Rise’s Lead Nurse, Nicola Evans and Preceptee, Tia Friths, to learn about the wealth of exciting opportunities within our growing teams.

What’s on offer?

We’ll be giving an insight into all of our upcoming Band 5 Rise practitioner roles within a variety of specialist areas. As part of a robust preceptorship programme, you will have the opportunity to assess the mental health of children and young people and deliver tailored interventions to them and their families.

You will work under supervision within a friendly and multidisciplinary team of vast expertise in line with local and national guidelines. These roles are in a range of settings across Coventry and Warwickshire.

We also offer a unique and competitive one-year rotational post for newly qualified nurses who want to get an insight into working with young people and upskill quickly via our varied and exciting teams. These one-year rotational posts are within the Access and Engagement Team (AET), Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) and Core Specialist Mental Health Services.

Our current Band 5s will take over the second half of the session to share their honest experiences of working within Rise as a newly qualified team member and offer hints and tips to support you with your application, personal statement and interview.

How to register

The event will take place on Microsoft Teams, and we hope to see you there. To get your link please email nicola.evans@covwarkpt.nhs.uk and include the name of your university and course, along with your year of study.

You’re also welcome to get in touch if you have any questions ahead of the event.
