Keith Ward

I have previously held positions within the NHS, as Chair of both Warwickshire & Rugby PPI from 2006 – 2008 working with the various committees to improve the wellbeing of the community at large and raising points with the PCT that we felt were an issue in maintaining a vital NHS service.

Also as a trustee of a local community centre, raised £148K towards an “All Weather Pitch” which was completed in Sept., 2011 and is now used by youngsters in the Rugby, Coventry and surrounding areas six days a week and provides training facilities for Football teams during the close season.

Recently I have been Chair of Rugby Sheltered Housing Association and work with the local authority and partner organisations to ensure the elderly are helped with any problems they have, and are guided the the right person to resolve issues. Associated partners include AgeUK and the local foodbank.

Now being elected to serve Warwickshire, this will allow me to steer and in some cases influence the decisions made by the board, that reflect the views and needs of those members and constituents represented. Also I shall work closely with the other elected Govenors of Warwickshire to ensure that we get the best for all those who use the NHS.
