Allana Watson

Around the age of 22 I completed a Prince’s Trust programme which helped me get an Allana Watson Apprenticeship in NHS Recruitment, and then onto Staff Engagement as a Wellbeing Assistant. I have now worked in the Trust for 16 months. I am currently studying Business Admin Level 3, and attend other training sessions provided by the Trust.

I’m also a Young Ambassador for the Prince’s Trust where I share my story about the barriers I faced growing up; this takes a huge amount of confidence and skill as I speak in front of audiences of around 100+ people. As well as this, my role involves a lot of networking, including doing TV, newspaper and radio interviews.

From my own experience I know the importance of health and wellbeing at work, and I recognise the struggles people face. I understand the Staff Governor role will be challenging, but the skills I have gained from the Prince’s Trust and my time in the NHS means I am confident and committed to carrying on the excellent work the Staff Governor role does. I will support the Trust to make it a great place to care, a great place for care, and a great place to work.
