Sarah Baxter

Sarah-Baxter Sarah is the Appointed Governor representing Coventry University.

Sarah has worked in a variety of senior nurse, academic roles within the NHS and healthcare education. She is committed to ensuring that staff who work within health and social care have the capability and confidence to deliver high quality, safe and effective care. Her current role involves working collaboratively across the Faculty of Health & Life Sciences, the wider University and a variety of health and social care organisations.

Sarah started working in the NHS in 1984 as a student nurse in Somerset. The majority of her clinical career has been within acute settings within Oxford. On moving to the Midlands she has worked in a number of Community Trusts and led regional projects, most recently leading on the development of the Assistant Practitioner role. She has a passion for enabling and supporting opportunities for widening participation in learning, ensuring investment and support for all levels of the career framework and the development of innovative practice through partnership working.

She lives in Warwickshire with her husband and as a volunteer for a charitable organisation is often seen with a four legged companion.
