John Edwards

I have worked for the Trust for the past 19 years, initially as a Health Care Assistant on the admission service in Brooklands Hospital and for the past 10 years as a Physical Intervention Trainer with the Mapa team. During this time I have different people from within the organisation and am aware of the different services we have in the Trust and problems each areas may have. In my spare time I am very active within my local community. I help run and coach a football team for children who have special needs. I work with the the child and the family to give them a forum to burn off some energy, learn to respect and work as part of a teamand install confidence and self esteem. The hi-light of the year for me is to see the smile on these children’s face as they receive their awards at the end of the year at their football presentation this make all those wet and cold Saturday mornings hangin around a football pitch worth while the reason I would like to be nominated as a staff. Having worked in the Trust for a lengthy period I have forged good working relationship with many staff members in all different areas.
