New non-executive directors at NHS Trust
The NHS Trust Development Authority (NHS TDA) has today confirmed the appointment of two new non-executive directors to the Trust Board of the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
Professor Guy Daly and Anna East joined the Trust from 1 February, each for a two year term.
Professor Daly is Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Coventry University. The Faculty is responsible for the education and training of a variety of health and social care professionals including: clinical psychology, dietetics, midwifery, nursing, occupational therapy, operating department practice, paramedic science, physiotherapy, social work and youth work.
He comes from a health and social care background professionally and is a social policy academic. His own research focuses on social care, housing policy, local government, and the governance of public services generally.
Mrs East qualified as a solicitor, and spent her early career with Eversheds before moving to the financial services company Britannic Group plc where she became Head of Group Legal.
She is currently Chairman of Dudley Building Society, Vice Chair of Midland Heart Housing Association and a non-executive Director of Entrust. She was formerly vice chairman of Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust.
Guy Daly said: “Coventry University and its Faculty of Health and Life Sciences have had a long and very fruitful relationship with CWPT. I see my appointment as helping to develop that relationship further as both the University and the Trust go from strength to strength, individually and in partnership with each other.”
Mrs East said: “I am looking forward to becoming a part of the Trust, meeting staff, and getting to know all the Trust sites and services.”
Non-executive appointments to NHS Trusts made by the NHS TDA are subject to the Code of Practice of the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
Professor Daly has been appointed from 1 February 2015 until 31 January 2017, and is entitled to receive a remuneration of £6,157 per annum.
Anna East has been appointed from 1 February 2015 until 31 January 2017, and is entitled to receive a remuneration of £6,157 per annum.
