The supplier that provides our electronic patient record system, has advised us that it has been subject to an external cyber incident, which has resulted in a system outage.
We would like to assure our patients and their carers that the Trust has tried and tested plans in place to make sure that there is minimal impact on patients. All of our services are open and running as usual. Patients should continue to use our services as they usually would.
Please note: During this time, we may ask you more questions about your recent medical history than usual, and your consultation or appointment may take slightly longer than normal.
As with any cyber-attack of this nature, there is an ongoing investigation into the incident to fully understand the impact.
Both Advanced and the NHS will comply with the strict requirements around reporting concerns about data.
