Christine Claridge

christine-claridge I am a retired deputy head teacher and sixty four year old mother of three who is veryinterested in becoming a trust governor for the Coventryand Warwickshire NHS Partnership.

I have lived in Warwickshire for forty three years and spent a career in public service working up through a variety of teaching roles to the positions of Deputy Head and Acting Head Teacher. As a member of a senior management team and governing body I have been responsible for the organisation of staff, institutional governance, administration, curriculum delivery and finance management. Throughout my careerI have had the opportunity to gain many transferable skills which are crucial for a successful trust governor including providing guidance and feedback, consultation and review and most importantly the ability to identify opportunities for the growth of both colleagues and institution.

I have held a number of roles on a variety of local committees including the local swimming club and operatic society. More recently, I have kept myself busy working as a volunteer for the Church. The church that I attend has a large congregation and works closely with the police, probation service, social services and the local NHS Trust.

I am passionate about the NHS having gained first-hand experience of the patient journey through the emergency, medical, surgical and cancer services. As a compassionate and caring person I have the necessary skills and the motivation to succeed as a successful member of the Council of Governors for the Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Partnership.
