Deb Smith

deb-smith I am a former psychiatric nurse and ex-service user of the Trust's services. I have been involved in one or other of these roles for over 20 years in South Warwickshire. I, therefore, have a good understanding of the Trust from both sides of the counter.

I was a member of South Warwickshire User Forum and since then have volunteered for Rethink as well as many other places in the community including Brunswick Healthy Living Centre and have deep roots in the community with church work with those with mental health difficulties and those with learning disabilities over many years.

Over the last 2 years I have been an active member of Making Space, Warwickshire's Service User Involvement organisation and serve on its national Governance as well as Overview and Scrutiny.

I have reviewed services with Making Space and have been involved as a service user in a number of Patient Experience inspections over the last year. I am, also, heavily involved in LINk and social care and social housing. I was Vice Chair of South Warwickshire CCG's ' No Decision About Me Without Me 'patient involvement group and am still involved in the CCG.

I feel with all this experience I could bring a great deal to the role of Governor and to making Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust the best that it can possibly be. I can contribute the view of both the community and service user and would give the Trust my utmost commitment.
